FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 13, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MAKO Surgical Corp. (Nasdaq:MAKO), a medical device company that markets both its RIO(r) robotic arm interactive orthopedic surgical platform and proprietary RESTORIS(r) implants for minimally invasive orthopedic knee procedures known as MAKOplasty(r), today announced that it intends to offer shares of its common stock in a public offering. Piper Jaffray & Co. is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering and Leerink Swann LLC is acting as co-manager.
