Alec Shankman Takes the Helm as New CEO of GotCast.com

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 16, 2009) - The success ratio for
aspiring talent from all over the nation is about to receive a
boost. On September 11, 2009, Alternative Programming pioneer Alec
Shankman was anointed the new CEO of GotCast (www.gotcast.com), the
premier interactive TV casting and social networking platform for
Hollywood's next generation of hopefuls. The positive and innovative
workings of GotCast's new leader have been implemented immediately
and with a boom. Within his inaugural days at GotCast, Alec has
begun launching major initiatives for many of the biggest networks
and TV shows in town. Alec Shankman has set the bar for GotCast,
with plans to make the national casting entity a global enterprise
very, very soon.
Formerly the long-standing head of Alternative Programming at Abrams
Artists Agency, thirty-year-old Alec Shankman is familiar with the
Hollywood dream. At the age of twenty-three, Alec, a successful
young owner of the Ohio nightclub STATUS, decided to pack his bags
and throw his hat into Hollywood's illustrious ring. Quickly, he
secured a position in the mailroom of the prestigious Abrams Agency.
It did not take long for Alec to work his way up. At twenty-four, he
realized a need for Abrams to create a Reality TV-based department.
Alec was given the reigns to launch what was to become one of the
top Alternative Programming Departments in the business. During his
time at Abrams, Alec represented and cultivated a wide range of
unique talent including, Dr. Tattoff, Kelly Le Brock, Joey Lawrence,
Jai Rodriguez, Todd Goldman, Cristian De La Fuente, and supermodel
Joanna Krupa.
GotCast is currently powering interactive castings for nearly every
network, studio, production company, and casting director in the
