City National Bank Names John Wilcox as Senior Vice President and Regional Banking Manager for Nevada Branch Network


LAS VEGAS, Oct. 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank has appointed John Wilcox as senior vice president and regional banking manager responsible for the bank's branches in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Reno, Carson City and Minden.

In that capacity, Wilcox oversees client service and retention, business development at those eight Nevada offices. He is based in Las Vegas.

Wilcox reports to Kevin Dunigan, executive vice president responsible for the Core Banking Division, and will work closely with Larry Charlton, senior vice president and Nevada regional executive.

Wilcox most recently served as president of the Commercial Banking Division of Irwin Union Bank, based in Columbus, Indiana. During his four-year career there he also served as Western region executive responsible for that bank's operations in Nevada, California and New Mexico and, before that, as Las Vegas market president.

Earlier, he spent 15 years at US Bank, where he held regional and district manager positions, including those overseeing that bank's 22 Nevada branches. He also has served as Las Vegas area manager at Valley Bank of Nevada and as southern Nevada loan origination manager at the former California Federal Savings and Loan.

Active in the community, Wilcox is a member of the board of directors of the Nevada Banker's Association and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Nevada. He also is a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, of which he previously served as board chairman. He earlier served as council chair of Leadership Las Vegas and on the boards of Junior Achievement, Lied Discovery Children's Museum and Three Square, a community food bank serving southern Nevada.

A resident of Las Vegas, he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is an honors graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
