Exalt the King: Never Give Up -- New Book Reveals the Trying Times of a Family Facing the Prospect of Losing the Beloved Man of Their Lives

PETAL, Miss., Oct. 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Xlibris, the leading print-on-demand self-publishing services provider, today announces the release of Exalt the King: Never Give Up, a book of faith and tragedy authored by Mathyn Williams.

Exalt the King is a journal that looks back at the events that struck the author's family in May 2008. It reveals that Williams' father suffered a sudden illness that not only affected him but also the entire family emotionally. With no explanation given, everyone collectively ended up at the hospital to support him. During this time, they struggled with the prospect of losing him and braced for the worst as the mysterious illness simply could not be cured by any medicine. As such, the family and Williams' father decided to put their faith in the healing power of God to test.

Emotionally driven, Exalt the King: Never Give Up demonstrates the power of love, and shows how the creator's perfect love can achieve great things. This book also contains the insights and tales of other members of the family, which readers can relate with easily. About the Author

Lieutenant Colonel Mathyn Williams has served his nation proudly as an Active Guard Reservist (AGR) on active duty since 1986. He started out in the enlisted ranks, rising to Staff Sergeant before eventually attending and graduating Officer Candidate School (OCS) in 1990. His military career has taken him around the world and across the nation. Prior to his military career, Colonel Williams was a proud member of one of the most dangerous professions in the world; the oil and gas drilling industry, working in various positions on land and offshore rigs from 1980 to 1985. Working in the drilling industry forced him to get tough and helped him appreciate those who run these types of industry. He feels that joining the military is one of the best decisions he ever made and has benefitted greatly from his service to country. Colonel Williams earned a BS at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS, a Master of Military Art and Science at Fort Leavenworth, KS and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences through Walden University. He feels that his experiences have provided him with an in-depth cultural understanding of people while also leading him to his own spiritual growth.
