On 29 May 2009, Alm. Brand Forsikring A/S, a subsidiary of Alm. Brand A/S,
signed a binding agreement with a UK subsidiary of Enstar Group Limited,
Bermuda, to sell Copenhagen Re and its foreign subsidiaries and branches.
The sale was subject to standard conditions, including a requirement for
approval from the financial supervisory authorities in the countries of
domicile of the respective subsidiaries and branches. These conditions,
including the requirement for approval from the financial supervisory
authorities, have now been met, and the sale of Copenhagen Re has therefore
been completed.
The sale will not affect the financial guidance of the Alm. Brand Group for
2009.
