Grasbrunn, Munich, October 28, 2009 - In the third quarter and in the first
nine months of the current financial year, Wirecard AG continued its robust
double-digit sales revenue and earn-ings growth.

After nine months in fiscal 2009, preliminary Group sales revenues amount
to 163.7 million euros, compared with 141.1 million euros in the same
period a year earlier, equivalent to an increase of 16.0 percent. In the
same period, EBITDA was up by 16.0 percent, from 37.6 million euros to 43.6
million euros. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were boosted by
15.3 percent in the first nine months of fiscal 2009, from 35.2 million
euros to 40.6 million euros.

According to preliminary calculations, consolidated sales revenues in the
third quarter of 2009 were up by roughly 14 percent on the previous-year
figure of 52.8 million euros, to reach 60.1 million euros. During the
period in question, EBITDA rose 17.4 percent, to 16.2 million euros
(Q3/2008: 13.8 million euros). The operating result (EBIT) came to 15.1
million euros in the third quarter, up by 16.2 percent year-on-year
(Q3/2008: 13.0 million euros).

The positive trend in operations is based on the ongoing, intact growth
drivers in the E-Commerce market and the successful combination of
technical solutions and banking services within the Wirecard Group.

The Management Board affirms its forecast of achieving 10 - 25 percent EBIT
growth for fiscal 2009.

All results are preliminary. The full interim report for the third quarter
/ 9 months of 2009 will be published on November 19, 2009.
