NovaGold Resources Inc. (NG) engages in the exploration and development of mineral properties in Alaska and British Columbia. The Company primarily explores for gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead ores. It owns interests in the Donlin Creek, Rock Creek, Big Hurrah and Nome Gold projects located in Alaska; and the Galore Creek project situated in northwestern British Columbia. On January 11, the Company announced it completed its purchase of 100% of the Ambler property, which hosts the high-grade copper-zinc-gold-silver Arctic deposit.
With senior operating partners contributing their construction and operating expertise, NG's projects offer lower risk and higher potential value than many other small mining companies can provide. Its largest projects are being advanced with major mining companies like Barrick Gold and Teck Resources Ltd.
