INDIANAPOLIS, March 11, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq:CELL) announced today that it is the winner of three Communitas Awards. Brightpoint was honored in the following categories:

  • Community Partnership – Week of Caring, an annual week-long community service event completed by Brightpoint which contributes more than 1,000 hours of community service.
  • Green Initiatives – Bright Green, Brightpoint's environmental program that focuses on environmental business initiatives and on educating employees on how to be environmentally friendly.
  • Individual Participation – J. Mark Howell, President of Brightpoint Americas, recognized for his work with Week of Caring and United Way fundraising.
