Central Boiler E-Classic 2400 Wins Prestigious Vesta Award

GREENBUSH, Minn., March 22, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The E-Classic 2400 from Central Boiler is the only outdoor wood gasification furnace to win the prestigious Vesta Award. Recognized for its innovative design and technology in the Wood Products category, the E-Classic 2400 was introduced in early March. This furnace features the latest advances in clean wood-burning technology which Central Boiler developed. The Vesta Award was received at the 2010 Hearth, Patio & Barbeque Expo.

The E-Classic 2400 is the largest of all outdoor wood furnaces to qualify for Phase 2 of the EPA's Hydronic Heater program. It emits only about one-third of the emissions limit set by the EPA for Phase 2 and has a delivered thermal efficiency of over 92 percent, which is a momentous achievement with larger outdoor wood furnaces.

The 2010 Vesta Awards were presented by Hearth & Home magazine and entries were judged by independent teams of retailers, distributors, product designers, test lab engineers, affiliate leaders and industry experts.

"The E-Classic 2400 is one of the cleanest and most efficient and convenient ways to heat with wood," said Dennis Brazier, chief executive officer, Central Boiler. "Being recognized for its cutting-edge technology by industry leaders and experts is truly an honor for everyone at Central Boiler."

This outdoor furnace features energy-efficient, eco-friendly LED lights. The E-Classic 2400 provides easy operation with automatic air flow adjustments to optimize the gasification process and use less wood. The furnace has a compact, modern design and is easy to maintain and clean.
