LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz., June 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mohave State Bank ("Bank"), subsidiary of State Bank Corp. (OTCBB:SBAZ) ("Company"), today announced the appointment of Steve Gilbert to the position of Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer. Mr. Gilbert began his banking career in 1976 holding a number of senior lending and credit positions at institutions in Arizona, including the Arizona Bank, Security Pacific and Bank of America. In 1998, Mr. Gilbert became the founding Chief Credit Officer of Valley Bank in Las Vegas, NV, which after many successful years of operation sold to Community Bank in 2006. Mr. Gilbert most recently served as a Receivership Assistance Contractor with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Mr. Gilbert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and is a graduate of the distinguished Stonier Banking School at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
