What:
Staples, Inc. [SPLS], the world's largest office products company and a top retail destination for back to school, will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City's Times Square to declare July 14th as the official first day of the 2010 back-to-school shopping season.
For the third consecutive year, the company will open the NASDAQ Stock Market with the "first bell" to remind parents and students that stores are fully stocked with a wide assortment of the newest supplies and technologies at great prices.
In honor of the occasion, Demos Parneros, President of U.S. Retail, will preside over the NASDAQ Opening Bell.
