In September, Dave Dale, director of Industry Standards at NetApp, was elected to the Solid State Storage Initiative (SSSI) board of directors as secretary. The SSSI fosters growth and success of the solid-state storage market in both commercial and consumer environments by conducting education efforts for the vendor and user communities, performing market outreach highlighting the virtues of solid-state storage, and supporting the development of standards specific to the technology.
