Successful trade fair for Wacker Neuson SE confirms upward trend

Sales synergies prove effective - business continues to develop positively 

(Munich, October 5, 2010) The upward trend in Wacker Neuson's business
continues - particularly in the core markets of Europe and the Americas -
with the company reporting further success at September's Galabau trade
fair. Order intake for compact equipment for the construction and
agricultural industries remains strong and the Group's strategies are
enabling it to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.

Continued high demand
Already during the first six months of the year, the Group benefited from
strong demand for light equipment, in particular, and increasingly also for
compact equipment. This development was fueled by the upswing in the
economy. Group performance has remained on a positive track since then.
Accumulated order intake for compact equipment for the construction and
agricultural industries remains strong. Growth is up 90 percent on the
previous year. As anticipated, supply bottlenecks have eased in the
meantime, enabling the Group to further reduce the considerable order
backlog for construction equipment reported in June despite the continuing
high number of incoming orders. This has enabled us to reduce our backlog
to some extent and to also reduce delivery times.

Synergies contribute to positive business development
The merged company is increasing market share by leveraging synergies in
its sales and distribution structures. The Group, which has seen a
significant upswing in its light equipment business, particularly in the
Americas, for more than a year now, is also offering its compact equipment
portfolio to more and more markets outside of Europe via its existing sales
and distribution network. Also demand for compact equipment in South
America is currently developing particularly positively.

Success at Galabau
At the end of September, the Group successfully showcased the benefits of
its broad portfolio at Galabau, the largest gardening and landscaping trade
fair for German-speaking countries, held in Nuremberg, Germany. 'Our
products generated a huge amount of interest at this year's Galabau,'
reports Werner Schwind, Executive Board member for sales at Wacker Neuson.
'Order intake was up 70 percent as compared to the last fair in 2008.
That's an exceptionally good result for a bauma year.'

International growth strategy
Wacker Neuson will continue to benefit from the systematic execution of its
strategies. The company intends to gain ground in specific sectors and grow
faster than the market through these measures, which include the expansion
of its leading position in the light equipment market, penetration of
compact equipment markets worldwide, particularly in the US, the strategic
alliance with Caterpillar for the design and construction of mini
excavators and the expansion of its agricultural machinery portfolio.
