IdentityMine Develops Official Windows Phone 7 Location-Based Mobile Application for HISTORY(TM)

Integrates HISTORY's Multimedia Content With GPS Capabilities to Create HISTORY HERE (TM) Application

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - November 16, 2010) - Today, IdentityMine, Inc., an emerging leader in application and interface development for rich digital interactive user experiences, announced that it has developed a mobile app on behalf of HISTORY™ for the Windows® Phone 7 platform. IdentityMine helps top-tier brands, such as HISTORY to extend their market presence on a variety of digital media, including Windows Phone 7 and other mobile platforms; combining art and technology to create highly engaging user experience and enhanced business results. HISTORY HERE ™ is one of six applications created by IdentityMine for the launch of the new Windows Phone 7 platform.

"Making historical events real and personal on a mobile platform is a rewarding and unique challenge that requires both technical and creative expertise," said Nathan Dunlap, Director UX Integrator for IdentityMine. "We built a great mobile experience that marries the rich data from HISTORY with a mobile form factor experience that makes history not just fun, but useful."

"We wanted to develop a user experience that created a powerful connection between users and the history around them, but also unique to the WP7 platform," said Dan Suratt, Executive Vice President Digital Media and Business Development AETN Digital. "IdentityMine worked with us to personalize the interaction with our audience, creating an application that 'travels' with the user with location-based information. Together with IdentityMine and Microsoft®, we are providing an engaging, visually exciting application for our consumers."

IdentityMine's mobile application developers designed the HISTORY HERE application for WP7 as a counterpart to HISTORY's website. Information can be delivered to the WP7 user based on their location according to personally selected criteria or, if the user prefers, randomly. The application allows users to view and sort their results by categories (including distance from current location). Users are also able to launch maps highlighting historic points of interest, view photos and basic information, and receive links to deeper content in the form of video, articles, photographs and illustrations related to the historical item of interest. Shaking the phone while the application is running will take a user to a random point of interest.
