The Mattera Foundation, Co-Directed by John Mattera and his wife, Dr. Lan Phan Mattera, currently owns the largest collection of Crash's work in the United States. This week they added two new pieces, Black F1 and Red F1, to their fast-growing collection. These latest pieces are the largest ever completed by the artist.

"From the subway cars of New York City to the exhibition rooms of premiere art museums across the world, John "Crash" Matos is one of the most talented, interesting, and dynamic artists out there," said Mr. John Mattera. "I am thrilled that The Mattera Foundation can play a role in opening up his incredible work to the general public."

"I'm happy to be working with John Mattera and his terrific organization," said Crash. "I admire all the great work he does in the community and am honored to be a part of it."

Along with Black F1 and Red F1, John Mattera's current collection also includes: For Lan, Batman, Simply CRASH, LTPM and many others. John Mattera intends to grow his collection in the near future, and each piece will be lent out for exhibition to various museums across the country.

Crash, a Bronx-born graffiti artist, is most famous for his custom-painted guitars, designed for musicians such as Eric Clapton and John Mayer. His work is included in collections at the Museum of Modern Art and the Brooklyn Museum of Art in New York, as well as the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and several private collections. He has done work for high-level brands including Fender Musical Instruments, Tumi Luggage, Ferrari, and Marvel Comics.
