IRVINE, CA and CLEMSON, SC--(Marketwire - March 17, 2011) - Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing and fundraising solutions in college athletics, announced today that Clemson University has renewed its partnership with the company with a five-year extension. Through this partnership, Clemson will offer advanced digital ticketing services, manage donor relationships and market their Tigers athletics events. Clemson has partnered with Paciolan since 1985.
"Paciolan is a true partner for the Clemson Athletics department," said Katie Hill, senior associate athletic director for Clemson University. "Working with Paciolan keeps our team ahead of the curve from a technology and customer services standpoint across our entire organization."
Clemson will continue to serve Tigers fans, students and season ticket holders online by allowing them to buy tickets at www.clemsontigers.com. Through their progressive marketing and online renewal programs, Clemson now renews more than 50 percent of their football season ticket holders online providing a convenient method for their donors and season ticket holders to buy tickets.
"We are very excited about extending our relationship with Paciolan," said Travis Furbee, assistant athletic director of ticket operations for Clemson University. "We have put a lot of time and energy into enhancing our ticketing services together, and now look forward to taking the next steps with digital ticketing."
Clemson will be implementing access scanning and digital ticketing technology for football and basketball. With digital ticketing, Clemson is able to enhance the fan experience by offering football and basketball season ticket holders additional value-added services. For example, Tigers fans will now have the opportunity to buy tickets online, print them at home, and transfer or resell unused tickets electronically.
Clemson also leverages the PACMail email marketing engine to reach donors and fans, while providing instant information for season ticket sales, single game sales and other athletics events. Their email marketing database reaches more than 53,000 Tigers fans with relevant, timely messages about Clemson Athletics.
"Clemson University has been a long-term partner, and it has been exciting to watch them evolve and grow their athletics program using our ticketing, marketing and fundraising systems," said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. "With the implementation of advanced digital ticketing, this trend should continue and help take Clemson Athletics to the next level."
