D. Medical Subsidiary, Spring-Set Health Solutions Ltd., Successfully Completes Usability Testing of its Spring Universal Infusion Set Product in the U.S.

TIRAT CARMEL, ISRAEL--(May 4, 2011) - D. Medical Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ:DMED)(TASE:DMED); ("D. Medical" or the "Company"), a medical device company engaged through its subsidiaries in the research, development, manufacture and sale of innovative products for diabetes treatment and drug delivery, announced today that its subsidiary, Spring-Set Health Solutions Ltd. ("Spring-Set"), has completed a usability and safety study (the "Study") of its Spring Universal Infusion Set product which is designed for subcutaneous delivery of medicine, including insulin, from an external infusion pump.

The single-center (New York, NY) Study enrolled 48 American pump users from different age groups and was designed to verify that intended users were able to manage the Spring Universal Infusion Set safely, effectively and efficiently. The interfaces between users, the system and the use environments were assessed. The Study endpoints were user success in performing each task. Most users had high scores for satisfaction and the product was ranked safe for use by the intended population.

"We conducted this Study in preparation for and in anticipation of U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for our Spring Universal Infusion Sets. That major milestone was accomplished earlier this week. Now, as we make final preparations for a U.S. roll-out, we are confident that the clear advantages of this important product will win the hearts and minds of American pump users,"said Hezkiah Tsoory, D. Medical's Chief Operating Officer.

About the Spring Universal Infusion Set

The Spring Universal Infusion Set is compatible with most insulin pumps currently available on the market. Going beyond the minimum requirements of subcutaneous drug delivery, the Spring Universal offers best-in-class features such as a hidden, auto-retractable needle, 360 degree connector, and smallest one-click, all-in-one inserter.

The core of the Spring Universal Infusion Set is the proprietary Detach-Detect mechanism. In the case the base of the infusion set detaches from the user's body, a blocking mechanism is triggered which, in turn, creates an occlusion. This evokes an occlusion alarm in an insulin pump. This unique feature enables exceptional reliability for continuously controlled and monitored insulin delivery, providing additional safety and peace of mind - especially for athletes and the parents of pediatric patients.
