BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 23, 2011) - The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, the premier global competition for undergraduate students who own and operate businesses while attending college or university, today announced that Dinesh Wadhwani, founder of ThinkLite, LLC, was the winner of the Boston Regional Competition. Dinesh will now move on to the Global Finals to compete for $150,000 in cash and in-kind business services to fuel the next phase of his company's growth.

The Boston competition placed six regional semi-finalists, selected from nominations across the New England and Canadian region. Student businesses included green lighting solutions, healthy snack options, campus furnishing recycling, insurance software, eco-friendly surfboards and a roommate matching service. Hailing from Babson University, Dinesh founded ThinkLite as a Junior in college after realizing the incapability of major technology firms to provide custom green lighting solutions. At the Global Finals in November, Dinesh will meet with 30 semi-finalists, nominated from over 42 countries from around the world, to face off for the title of Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year.
