Insomniac Wants Fans to Know "We are Not Involved With New Year's Eve Event, 'Together as One'"

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- After 13 years of co-promoting Los Angeles' premier New Year's Eve electronic music event, Insomniac has announced that the company is no longer associated with the annual "Together as One" (TAO) event.

"Insomniac works hard to set the standard in safety, production quality, and the overall value of our fans' experience," said Insomniac CEO, Pasquale Rotella. "Due to various issues surrounding these basic commitments, I want all Insomniac fans to know that we are no longer co-producing TAO."

The name 'Together as One' was created by Pasquale Rotella in 1998 to signify that Insomniac and another promoter were joining forces, together as one, to produce a single New Year's Eve event. In 2011, Insomniac's former partner continued to promote the jointly held "Together as One" event independently of Insomniac's consent or involvement.

"When our fans spend their hard earned money to attend an Insomniac event, they expect us to deliver our special high-level production with world-class talent and a secure venue," said Rotella. "That is why I want there to be no misunderstanding - Insomniac is not involved with TAO 2012."

Insomniac's concern about their continued involvement in this popular event grew when their former partner began selling tickets to a 2012 TAO event, when no such event was planned or agreed upon with Insomniac.

Insomniac has produced approximately 250 events throughout the United States, including more than a hundred events in the Los Angeles metro area, and entertained more than half a million dance music fans in the year 2011 alone.

"We are working to create our own New Year's brand – and we will only launch a New Year's event this year if everything is in its right place, which is still to be determined," concluded Rotella.

Insomniac has some great inspiration to celebrate 2012 with its fans. The company debuted two new events this year. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas attracted 230,000 fans over three days and won top International Music Festival at the DJ Awards in Ibiza. Most recently, Insomniac produced their first ever "Escape from Wonderland" Halloween festival in San Bernardino. The sold out event, attended by more than 45,000 fans and hundreds of artists, was widely publicized as an overwhelming success.  By the end of 2011, Insomniac will have donated more than $150,000 to charities as part of their Charitable Giving Initiative.

Insomniac is currently in the planning stages of producing future New Year's Eve EDM events in the Los Angeles area.
