Elliptical Mobile Solutions Forms Key Distribution Partnership With MaxPower

CHANDLER, Ariz., Nov. 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elliptical Mobile Solutions, the global leaders in Micro-Modular Data Centers™, today announced it has signed a distribution partnership agreement with MaxPower, one of the largest U.S. master distributors of Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), rack power distribution, and cooling for critical electronics.

The agreement will allow MaxPower to distribute EMS's Micro-Modular Data Centers (MMDCs) including the C3-S.P.E.A.R., R.A.S.E.R. DX, and R.A.S.E.R. HD.

"We are pleased to have MaxPower as one of our key distributors," said Bill Stockwell, CEO of Elliptical Mobile Solutions. "The partnership will provide access to the EMS product line through a broad group of resellers focused on delivering solutions to the mission critical facility industry."

"This partnership with EMS allows us to offer an industry-shaping product line," said Tom Ebner, President and CEO of MaxPower Corporation. "We are standing at the helm of a growing green movement in the technology sector and EMS's micro-modular products are taking lead in the data center arena. Their energy-efficient, high density data center environments will round out our current product offering of uninterruptible power systems, rack power distribution units, and cooling devices for critical electronics, and ultimately help us better serve our resellers through a more diverse portfolio of products."

EMS is the only company in the world to build Micro-Modular Data Centers at the rack level with onboard cooling, security and fire suppression.

Additional Features include:

  • Industry standard 19" racks that can house the world's most high-tech network, server, storage, and UPS equipment.
  • Shock and vibration isolation, allowing enclosures to be moved or relocated while populated with equipment.
  • Rapid deployment – within weeks rather than months or years – greatly accelerating data center infrastructure implementations.
  • Perfectly scalable, allowing companies to add capacity on an "as needed" basis without disrupting data center operations.
  • Flexibility to interchange IT architectures with minimal impact on existing operations and insuring greater uptime and availability.

As a result, MMDCs offer up to 80% in CapEx savings; 60% in OpEx savings; 50% in cooling and power savings, and 75% floor space savings.
