Titan Iron Ore Corp. Reports Exploration Progress at the Wyoming Iron Complex

TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Titan Iron Ore Corp. ("Titan," the "Company") (OTCBB:TFER) is pleased to announce progress on its exploration activities at the Wyoming Iron Complex located in Albany County, Wyoming.

Titan has retained West-Core Drilling, LLC of Elko, Nevada to complete a 2,000-foot drilling program with three drill sites located on the Strong Creek property, the larger of the two projects held by Titan within the Wyoming Anorthosite Complex. To date, two holes have been completed by West-Core totaling 1,352 feet consisting of one 700-foot hole and the second at 652 feet, with drilling of the third and last hole underway. Inspection of sawn drill core indicates the presence of iron-titanium mineralization throughout the complete length of both holes, with iron occurring as magnetite and titanium as ilmenite. Assay results from Wyoming Analytical Laboratories, in Laramie, Wyoming with additional testing by SGS Lakefield Laboratories of Lakefield Ontario, Canada, are pending and will be released once they become available, which is anticipated to be before the end of January 2012.
