SHAWINIGAN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 9, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that Club de Hockey Shawinigan Inc. (represented by its Organizing Committee) has been granted financial assistance for the international commercialization of the 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup to be held in Shawinigan from May 17 to 27, 2012.

"By supporting Club de Hockey Shawinigan's project, the Government of Canada is once again demonstrating its commitment to promoting tourism, a sector that benefits the economy," said Minister Lebel.
