Hexagon Composites ASA : Results for Q4 2011


Hexagon Composites ASA achieved in the first quarter of 2012 a turnover of NOK 263.6 million (280.5) and an operating profit before depreciation (EBITDA) of NOK 34.9 million (42.9). Operating profit (EBIT) was NOK 17.0 million (23.0) and pre-tax profit was NOK 12.6 million (19.1). The first quarter result is weaker than in the same period last year, but stronger than the previous quarter.

Important events in the group since the last interim report:

  • Lincoln Composites was given special permission from the U.S. authorities, approving the use of TITAN(TM) transport modules in the USA. 

  • Decision to discontinue production of LPG containers in Composite Scandinavia 

  • Hexagon Composites entered into a joint venture agreement with the Russian company Autocomponent regarding collaboration on LPG and CNG tanks in Russia.
