The Art Road Mobile Art Classroom is a 1,000 square foot art classroom on wheels that has been donated for the day by MRA. MRA experiential tours & equipment is an industry leader in mobile exhibit and event marketing located in Madison Heights, Michigan. We are introducing the mobile art classroom concept in hopes that individuals, corporations and foundations will see this as a vehicle to bring art class back to schools and sponsor the Art Road Mobile Art Classroom.
An Art Road art instructor will be teaching (10) thirty minute art classes on the mobile art classroom from 8:30am-2:30pm at Spain. We welcome the community to come on board from 8:30am-2:30pm to witness the students making art and learn more about Art Road's Mission that children throughout Southeastern Michigan have access to art instruction. From 2:30pm-4pm the community is welcome to come on board to learn more about Art Road (no students will be making art at this time).

"Attendance is up on Wednesdays at Charles Wright," said the principal at Charles Wright because the Art Road art program is at their school. "I like all the art projects because they are very creative. They even made me use my mind," said one of the art students in the Art Road art program. "I want to live in the art room," said one young artist.

Art Road Nonprofit's Mission is that children throughout Southeastern Michigan have access to art instruction. Currently, Art Road is bringing art class back to 400 students at Edison Elementary School and to 400 students at Charles Wright Academy of Arts & Science for the entire school year. Both schools are public schools in Detroit that lack art in their curriculum. Our hope is to be able to bring art class back to more schools and raise awareness of the lack of art class in schools.
