Announcing the $25,000 Bachelor's Degree Scholarship From CollegePlus

SAN ANTONIO, Aug. 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Students everywhere are invited to submit a written or video essay to CollegePlus sharing how they would use a $25,000 Scholarship to help them earn their Bachelor's degree from the college of their choice.

Through August 28, interested students are encouraged to visit the CollegePlus Scholarship Essay Contest website for more information on how to submit a written or video essay and have a chance to win a $25,000 scholarship to CollegePlus and the college of their choice.

Just for participating, every enrolling student will automatically receive a CollegePlus scholarship of $350, plus be eligible to win the incredible $25,000 scholarship grand prize that allows them to begin earning credit while enrolled in CollegePlus and then transfer those credits and scholarship money to the college of their choice. There will also be two second place winners who each receive a $3,000 CollegePlus scholarship, and two Audience Choice award winners.

Smitty Wheeler, CollegePlus CMO, explained, "Students seeking a Bachelor's degree beginning with CollegePlus and graduating from the college of their choice have a unique opportunity. Their flexible schedule gives them the ability to participate in internships, missions trips and to pursue their passions, while earning their fully-accredited Bachelor's degree in about three years. Because most of the Bachelor's degree programs cost about $15,000, the vast majority of CollegePlus students graduate debt-free and are positioned for success in the job market as soon as they graduate." CollegePlus currently offers 29 majors through their college and university partners but the scholarship winner can direct the majority of the scholarship prize towards any college they choose to attend.

The submission deadline for essays is midnight on August 28th, and the winners will be announced on Friday, August 31st. Students seeking more information on how to participate in this contest can read the official scholarship contest instructions.
