Industrivärden has named Pär Östberg as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, and Anders Nyberg as Executive Vice President and Secretary to the Board in charge of corporate governance and legal affairs. Both appointments take effect on October 1, 2012.
Industrivärden’s Executive Vice President Carl-Olof By (born 1945) will move into a role as senior advisor for the Company on January 1, 2013.
Commenting on the appointments, Industrivärden's CEO, Anders Nyrén, said: "With his broad record of international experience and knowledge about market, finance and production matters, Pär Östberg will be a vital resource in our work as a long-term active owner. Anders Nyberg is a highly experienced corporate lawyer who, through his role at SCA, has gained solid knowledge about corporate governance issues and structural deals. I am also happy that Carl-Olof By will stay on after the end of the year as an astute and experienced advisor for Industrivärden. Through these changes, our executive management will regain its previous structure with two executive vice presidents."
Pär Östberg (born 1962), MBA, has had a career spanning many years in senior positions with the Volvo Group, where he has been a member of the Group Executive Team since 2005. He is currently Executive Vice President Truck Joint Ventures.
Anders Nyberg (born 1951), Master of Laws, has served in various legal positions for SCA since 1988. Since 2000 he is SCA's General Counsel, Secretary to the Board and member of the Corporate Senior Management Team.
