MacAulay-Brown Awarded Cybersecurity Contract to Defend Critical Air Force Networks

DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by the United States Air Force to support the 90th Information Operations Squadron (IOS), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Under the terms of the FORGE contract, MacB will perform software development tasks throughout the lifecycle pertaining to computer security technologies necessary to support law enforcement (LE) and counter-intelligence (CI) investigations and operations. Today's contract award comes on the heels of the Air Force's decision to award MacB the Guardian contract, which, along with FORGE, will support the 90th IOS's overall mission to deliver innovative and integrated cyber capabilities.

"The 90th IOS is on the front lines of the cybersecurity threat that faces the Air Force's critical communications networks," said William "Bull" Pratt, Senior Vice President of MacB's Information Dominance Division. "As we work closely with the members of the 90th on the FORGE and Guardian contracts, we take pride in the fact that MacB will play an instrumental role in ensuring the Air Force is protected from cyber attacks."

According to the USAF, the 90th IOS is charged with developing capabilities to effectively identify, neutralize or exploit threats to Air Force assets (people, weapons systems, and the USAF network) worldwide, whether foreign governments, international terrorist or unaffiliated actors.
