MacAulay-Brown Adds Former Ambassador at Large for Counterterrorism Lieutenant General Dell L. Dailey as a Strategic Advisor

Former Director of the Center for Special Operations to Advise MacB on National Security Issues

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has added former U.S. Ambassador at Large for Counterterrorism, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Dell L. Dailey as a strategic advisor to MacB on National Security issues. In addition to serving as the State Department's Coordinator for Counterterrorism, he spent 36 years in the U.S. Army, ending his career as Director of the Center for Special Operations (CSO), U.S. Special Operations Command(USSOCOM). Ambassador Dailey will provide his considerable insight and expertise on Special Operations and Homeland Defense to ensure that MacB is meeting the needs of its clients.

"It became clear in my discussions with MacB's senior management team that this is a company that has a deep understanding and a passion for the national security of the Nation," said Dailey. "For three decades, they have partnered with the Federal Government to provide solutions that have increased the safety and security of our citizens at home and abroad. I look forward to providing the team with my insights and expertise."

"It is an absolute honor to welcome a person of Dell's caliber to the team," said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB. "His service to the country, his background and expertise in Counterterrorism, Homeland Security and Special Operations will be an asset to our clients, employees and the senior management team. We look forward to working closely with Dell."

Ambassador at Large Dailey most recently served as the Department of State's Coordinator for Counterterrorism, charged with coordinating and supporting the development and implementation of U.S. Government policies and programs aimed at countering terrorism overseas. As the principal advisor to the Secretary of State on international counterterrorism matters, he was responsible for taking a leading role in developing coordinated strategies to defeat terrorists abroad and in securing the cooperation of international partners to that end.

Prior to his assignment with the State Department, Ambassador Dailey spent over 36 years on active duty in the United States Army, reaching the rank of Lieutenant General as the Director of the CSO, USSOCOM, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. His duties involved participation in major military operations such as DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, UPHOLD DEMOCRACY, JOINT GUARDIAN, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

During the latter phases of his military career and particularly in the CSO, Ambassador Dailey's professional focus was not only on the military aspect of counterterrorism operations, but also on the need to deal with complex terrorist threats using all appropriate instruments of national power. Under his leadership, the CSO promoted interagency collaboration and built closer partnerships between military personnel and the members of other U.S. Government departments and agencies involved in global counterterrorism activities.

Ambassador Dailey was born into an Army family in Flandreau, South Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1971 and earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Shippensburg University in 1994.
