Fifty teachers from Los Angeles, the South Bay and Long Beach will take part in the Sally Ride Science Educator Institute. |

Teachers will learn how to ignite student interest in STEM subjects through engaging techniques that connect standards-based content with current topics, STEM career paths, and examples of diverse scientists working in the field today. Educators will receive professional development credit, classroom materials and access to lessons learned by peers who have participated in a Sally Ride Science seminar.
The event will take place at Northrop Grumman's Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, historic cradle of high technology and space innovation. Sally Ride Science faculty, composed of nationally recognized current and former teachers, will lead the training.
