Change in the total number of shares and votes in BillerudKorsnäs AB (publ)

In December 2012 the number of shares and votes in BillerudKorsnäs AB (publ)
increased with 34 551 592 new shares as a result of the directed issue to
Investment AB Kinnevik that was part of the purchase price in the acquisition of
Korsnäs AB, which was resolved by the board on 29 November 2012, making use of
the authorisation by the extraordinary general meeting on 14 September 2012.

As of 28 December 2012 the share capital in BillerudKorsnäs AB (publ) amounts to
SEK 1 029 326 502.53, divided among 139 386 205 shares. The total number of
votes in BillerudKorsnäs AB (publ) as of 28 December 2012 amounts to 139 386 205
(although the total number of votes amounts to 137 667 258 if the 1 718 947
treasury shares are excluded).
