Hofseth Biocare - ProGO a superior source to improve muscle recovery -INAF

A performance-trial performed by the INAF Research Institute show significant superiority to Hofeth BioCares soluble protein (ProGO) versus traditional highly hydrolysed whey proteins (WPH) a source to increase nitrogen absorption, a vital process to enhance muscle recovery.

The test also concluded that an addition of 10-20% of ProGO to un-hydrolysed whey protein isolates (WPI), showed a significant increase in the rate of nitrogen absorption versus un-hydrolysed WPI alone.

Currently, hydrolysed and un-hydrolysed whey proteins are the most common sources to improve muscle recovery applied in human sport nutrition.

- The results clearly indicate the superiority of Hofseth BioCares marine based proteins compared to traditional whey-based proteins, and Hofseth BioCare is geared to take advantage of these results to expand its market shares and achieve premium prices for its products, says CEO Sjur Jenssen in Hofseth BioCare.

INAF is a Research Institute of the Laval University in Quebec, Canada.  INAF focus on the understanding of relationships between foods, food components, nutrition and health. INAF puts science at the service of nutrition to ensure its actions lead to concrete and durable results that benefit the population's health and the bio-food sector.

In June 2012, Hofseth BioCare signed an exclusive agreement with US-based Roxlor for the distribution of ProGO to the North American human nutrition market. Roxlor will present the results from the INAF-study at the Natural Expo Show in Anaheim California on the 8-10 March.
