MacAulay-Brown, Inc. Acquires Secure Computing and Communications Division from Luna Innovations Incorporated

Acquisition Significantly Expands Customer Offering and Footprint into National Security Community


DAYTON, Ohio, March 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has acquired the intellectual property and other assets relating to the Secure Computing & Communications (SCC) division of Roanoke, Va.-based Luna Innovations Incorporated(NASDAQ: LUNA). SCC and its employees will be immediately integrated into MacB's Advanced Technology Group (ATG).

Since 2003, SCC has conducted research and development of innovative electronic components and methods, and has provided technical services with a focus on critical U.S. military and National Security applications. In addition, SCC is a leader in the development of methods and technologies to build trust into integrated circuits and energy management systems.

Current SCC customers will continue to receive the high level of support they have come to expect, augmented by MacB's outstanding reputation for providing advanced engineering services and solutions that directly impact results. MacB will immediately offer SCC's solutions and services to its existing customer base. Concurrently, the Company will introduce the new offering to potential customers throughout the Intelligence and National Security communities.
