Global Data Center Services Provider CyrusOne Selected by Hamilton/Clermont Cooperative Association to House Data

Relationship Strengthens School District Technical Support and IT Infrastructure

DALLAS, June 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global data center services provider CyrusOne (Nasdaq:CONE) announced today that the Hamilton/Clermont Cooperative Association (HCCA), which provides data and Internet services for approximately 100 public and non-public schools in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, has selected CyrusOne's Cincinnati data center to house and support their data technology.

The HCCA provides technological services and support to the Hamilton and Clermont County school districts, including Internet protocol telephony, software support and applications, financial software for payroll and accounting, student grading and scheduling software, and parental accesses. The organization also enables school districts to have connectivity to outside resources.

"We chose CyrusOne because of the impressive redundant power offerings that are built into their downtown Cincinnati facility," said David Horine, HCCA's executive director. "Their support means that our power uptime is at 100 percent. Having all of our equipment in a single facility also helps us save money."

CyrusOne's 400,000-square-foot Cincinnati data center is used for production colocation, backup and recovery, and business continuity. The facility is constructed to withstand natural disasters such as floods and tornadoes, and it is conveniently located 15 minutes from Greater Cincinnati and the Northern Kentucky International Airport.

"CyrusOne's scalability was another feature that appealed to the HCCA," said Tesh Durvasula, chief commercial officer of CyrusOne. "Like many of our clients, HCCA needed a facility that would grow with them while providing around-the-clock data center security."
