Prevas enters the Finnish market and starts a company in Helsinki

Prevas starts a company in Finland, together, with an established Finnish
partner. The new company will serve the industry with manufacturing-related IT
solutions. Prevas plans to have about 15 employees in Finland during 2014.
For some time now, Prevas has been already working with customers in Finland,
such as Ruukki, Ovako, Outokumpu and Arla. With a local presence in Finland,
together with a local partner, it will enable Prevas to further strengthen our
relationships with existing customers and also expand the business and reach new
customers. The office will be located in Helsinki.

Prevas has been serving the Nordic market since 1985 with solutions for
Industrial IT with a strong competence especially in Manufacturing Execution
Systems (MES). MES are IT solutions that control the important production
processes at a facility. The market within MES is growing rapidly as industries
compete on a global market and strive for higher capacity, quality and margins.

“We work in close collaboration with our customers to define each step of the
way towards cost-effective and highly-productive production facilities. To start
a new company in Finland, and offer solutions that can help the Finnish industry
to get world class competitiveness, is a right strategic step to take for
Prevas,” says Christer Ramebäck, Senior Vice President of Industrial Systems at
Prevas AB.
