Reynolds, former Assistant United States Attorney, Criminal Division for the District of Maryland, to the firm as Counsel in its Washington, DC office. Reynolds will represent leading financial services companies and other major corporations, as well as their officers and directors, in a variety of civil and criminal state and federal enforcement matters.
From February 2011 to September 2013, Reynolds served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland, where he prosecuted a wide range of federal crimes in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Reynolds was an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, DC. While at Cleary Gottlieb, Reynolds represented financial institutions, corporations and corporate executives in high profile, complex investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, state attorneys general, Congress and numerous foreign governmental entities. In addition, he handled a wide range of complex commercial litigation and appellate litigation, including private class action suits primarily in the securities and antitrust contexts. Previously, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Margaret B. Seymour of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
