Postmaster Introduces New Box and Bin Packing Feature to Help High-Volume Retailers Save More on Shipping Costs

Additionally, Postmaster Has Announced a New Pricing Model, with More Value for Any Business that Ships, Regardless of Volume

AUSTIN, Oct. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Postmaster (www.postmaster.io), the easy way to ship, track and save on FedEx, UPS and USPS, today announced the addition of Box and Bin Packing optimization to its shipping and logistics API. With its new Box and Bin Packing feature, eCommerce and online retailers of all sizes are now able to maximize their packing with every shipment, for better savings on volumetric packing. Additionally, Postmaster has announced new pricing tiers for shippers of all sizes.

Postmaster allows SMEs to save time and money throughout the lifecycle of shipping, from integration to fulfillment, and offers real-time shipping cost optimization for businesses with any volume of shipments. The Box Packing features offers added savings to shippers by scanning available boxes in their inventory to find the best fit for the items being shipped, and provides a 3D diagram of how each item should be packed into the box.

"One of the problems that a high-volume retailer faces when fulfilling an order is determining the right size box to fit all the items in the order," said Jesse Lovelace, CEO and cofounder of Postmaster. "If the retailer uses too big of a box, they will be charged more for their shipment due to the way parcel carriers calculate volumetric pricing.  We're committed to helping ease the pain associated with shipping and logistics, and are excited to offer even more value to retailers with the new Box and Bin feature, as well as our new pricing levels."

To support its fellow startups, Postmaster is offering free use of the shipping API for all customers shipping less than 5000 packages a month.  For customers shipping more than 5000 packages a month, pricing is only 5 cents per shipment, with additional discounts on high volume shipments.  Postmaster is also giving new discounted rates for shippers using USPS.
