FISHERS, Ind., Feb. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bridgeview Animal Hospital announced that Fishers veterinarian Dr. Michael Graves has received "Honorable Mention" as best veterinarian in the 2013 "Readers' Choice Awards". The awards, sponsored by The Times, a Gannett Newspaper, recognize the best of Hamilton County.

"This is quite an honor for me and for our practice," said Dr. Graves. "The fact that The Times included our veterinary hospital in its selection of "Readers' Choice Honorable Mentions" signals that our constant efforts for patient excellence and quality veterinary care are making a difference for the Fishers community. We are proud to be included in this recognition."

Dr. Graves says that Bridgeview Animal Hospital's commitment to wellness care is one thing that sets the animal hospital apart.

"Our entire veterinary care team is passionate about proactively doing whatever is possible to prevent illness and improve pet health," said Dr. Graves. "We believe very strongly that vaccinations and wellness screenings can truly help to reduce the occurrence of illness and disease in pets. Our goal is to help pets live a long, healthy life. Being recognized for our excellence in veterinary care is a huge honor. This recognition only reinforces our commitment to providing the best possible veterinary care."

In addition to wellness screenings and vaccinations, the veterinary hospital provides complete pet care, including (but not limited to): pet surgery, emergency veterinary care, and pet dental care. The veterinary hospital is also one of the only local hospitals to offer holistic care services such as acupuncture.

"We believe in providing care that is both affordable and comprehensive," said Dr. Graves. "We also believe that proactive wellness care is not only the best way to reduce the risk for illness, but also keep veterinary care costs down for pet owners. The cost of preventative vaccinations, for example, is much less than that of emergency care. Our commitment to providing both affordable and quality care is what helps our practice stand out."

The veterinary team at Bridgeview Animal Hospital says that their goal is to treat pets with care and compassion as if they were members of the staff's own family.

Bridgeview Animal Hospital also provides a full service grooming salon. The Fishers, IN veterinary clinic is open from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to noon on Saturdays.
