Washington, DC, May 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- American Hospital Management Company (AHMC), today assumed the management and operations of Al-Jazeera Medical Hospital in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AHMC's CEO, Randall Arlett and V.P. of Corporate Development, Ralph Foster II, signed the agreement while in Riyadh at a signing ceremony hosted by Al-Jazeera Medical Hospital's Owner, Abdulrahman Al Shammari, and witnessed by the hospital's Chairman of the Board, Mohammed Alsegaih on April 16, 2014. The newest hospital to become a part of AHMC's hospital network is a 60 bed privately owned facility.
Al Jazeera Medical Hospital is the second medical facility to sign a long-term management agreement with AHMC in Saudi Arabia, joining Al Qadi Specialty Hospital in Najran. The Saudi healthcare sector is in a state of transition and is projected to grow significantly as the Kingdom has set a target of increasing the number of hospital beds in the country by 30,000 in the next few years.
Various reforms and incentives have been implemented which are encouraging modernization of existing facilities and the development of new state-of-the-art world-class facilities that meet international quality standards in order to meet the healthcare needs of the people.
