Adam Lowy, a third generation mover as well as the Founder and Executive Director of Move For Hunger, has teamed up with moving and storage companies across the country to gather unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to local food banks. Since its inception, Move For Hunger has provided enough food to feed over 2.4 million people and works with over 600 moving companies.
Vanliner has been a supporter of Move For Hunger over the years and in 2014, it plans to elevate its partnership through additional sponsorship and active involvement in the organization's activities. More than 120 Vanliner employees have joined together to form a "Move For Hunger" committee to develop planned activities to help support the cause.
