Secure Cloud Storage Service Firedrive Debuts New Chrome Extension and Firedrive for Filelink

Firedrive today announced the release of a new Chrome extension for Firedrive, as well as Firedrive for Filelink. These new enhancements provide increased convenience for Chrome users who need to upload an image file to their Firedrive account and for those who wish to send large files via email.

NEW YORK, N.Y., June 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Firedrive, a secure cloud storage service offered to users at no cost, today announced the debut of its new Chrome extension along with Firedrive for Filelink. These new releases, which debuted on May 21, 2014, will provide Firedrive users with increased ease of use surrounding various functions.

"We have been pursuing an aggressive development strategy and are looking forward to releasing a plethora of new product offerings from Firedrive over the next few weeks," stated CEO Joseph Turner.

The new Firedrive Chrome extension will allow users to easily upload any image file they come across while using Chrome into their Firedrive account. The Chrome extension is available for download at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/download-to-firedrive/nlcbekplhffbagogapmldeeeghicmplg.

Once the extension has been installed in Chrome, users can upload any image from the web browser by simply right clicking and selecting "Upload to Firedrive." Later this quarter, Firedrive will introduce an updated version of the Chrome extension to allow non-image file-types to be uploaded in a similar fashion.

Firedrive has also unveiled Firedrive for Filelink. Firedrive for Filelink allows thunderbird users to easily send large files without having to worry about whether or not the recipient's email provider can accept the large file. This is especially useful in the print industry, where industry insiders send each other large files daily.

In addition to the new Chrome extension and Firedrive for Filelink, Firedrive users now have the ability to attach Filedrops to their profiles. With this new update, anyone who would like to enable receiving files from their public profile can allow non-Firedrive users to send them files form any computer without having to sign up for anything. To do so, the Firedrive user needs to only provide their friends with a link to their public profile.
