Nationally recognized consumer advocate to train NLC Loans employees on true customer advocacy

Renowned mortgage expert and consumer advocate Dale Vermillion hired by NLC Loans to train on customer advocacy

CLEVELAND, Ohio, Aug. 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Cleveland-based mortgage company NLC Loans™ (Nations Lending Corporation) announced today that they have contracted renowned national consumer advocate and mortgage expert Dale Vermillion onboard for a year-long training initiative that will revolutionize the way the company serves its customers.

Vermillion, a 31-year mortgage industry vet who has been featured regularly on Fox Business and dozens of national radio programs including Moneywise, is taking an innovative approach with the staff of NLC to implement a "customer-first" protocol that is truly unique in the mortgage world.

"I'm delighted to partner with the great team here and coach NLC's personal mortgage advisors," he said. "The NLC approach to help their borrowers will be that of a true advocate, not just a loan officer. Too many companies focus on just the borrower's short term goals. Here we will focus on both short and long term goals and help our customer build a personalized financial plan to achieve both."

Vermillion's primary goal is for the company's personal mortgage advisors to help their customers make sound financial decisions all around. NLC Loans operates by a "customer for life" mentality that means the business is more than just simply funding home loans--it's more about helping customers in all facets of their mortgage and financial goals and to set them up for successful financial futures.

"A home loan is not just a transaction," said NLC Loans CEO Jeremy Sopko. "Far too often, our industry is focused on the deal and not the customer. We believe the consumer should understand all options and then decide what the right course of action is."

Sopko added that NLC's customer-first approach to the business is something that sets them apart from other lenders. He believes that Vermillion will be able to help the company revolutionize its customer service standards as well as empower its customers.

"One of our core beliefs is making sure the consumer comes first," he said. "We've hired one of the best consumer advocates in the industry to ensure that this belief is embedded in all processes throughout the entire company."

Vermillion, author of the 2009 book, Navigating the Mortgage Maze: The Simple Truth About Financing Your Home, has trained more than a million mortgage professionals and educated tens of thousands of consumers throughout his career.

"The goal is to help borrowers achieve true financial freedom faster and provide solutions that are customized to each of our customers' individual needs," said Vermillion. "Whether it be a refinance or a purchase, we'll provide the best advice, the best products, and the best service possible from people who truly care about their customers and display the highest level of integrity."

NLC Loans employs more than 330 people and is a nationally-licensed mortgage lender.
