(Nasdaq:UBIC) (TSE:2158) ("UBIC" or "the Company"), a leading provider of international litigation support and big-data analysis services, announced today that it officially started sales of "XRY COMPLETE," a mobile data preservation and analysis software system developed by Micro Systemation, headquartered in Sweden, to Japanese law enforcement agencies, on November 1.

This software system can provide functions not available via the software and hardware systems currently used by Japanese law enforcement agencies for similar applications. For example, it enables simultaneous preservation of the data stored on three mobile and is compatible with more than 13,000 models of mobile devices. XRY COMPLETE has been adopted by law enforcement agencies, including police and national defense authorities, in more than 90 countries. Introducing this software system in Japan will help to improve the efficiency and speed of investigations, and enhance forensic techniques.

Mobile data are becoming more important as evidence in most investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies. Although the number of mobile phones and personal computers confiscated per case has been increasing in recent years, the amount of time that police and prosecutors' have to investigate a suspect's mobile phone and personal computer is decreasing because of the limited time allowed for detaining suspects.

Against this backdrop, we believe that we can make significant contributions to improving the efficiency and speed of investigations by law enforcement agencies by launching XRY COMPLETE, which can be used with "XRY VIEWER," free software that provides the following functions:

(1) Preserving data stored on up to three mobile phones at the same time

The use of a special hub attached to this product makes it possible to preserve the data stored on up to three mobile phones at the same time.

(2) Use with the free XRY VIEWER software for viewing data

If data extracted from mobile phones are incorporated into the free XRY VIEWER software, it is possible to view the data on personal computers on which XRY COMPLETE is not installed. This means that several investigators can examine the data simultaneously.

UBIC will introduce this product into its forensic and discovery support services in order to improve the efficiency and speed of investigations. In addition to providing high service quality based on its experience of handling more than 1,300 investigations, UBIC will provide investigation services that meet a broader range of customer needs by expanding the scope of its services through an increase in the types of devices from which data can be extracted.
