PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LeadingAge New Jersey (LANJ), at its 2014 Awards Ceremony held at the Forsgate Country Club on December 10, 2014, honored outstanding and innovative contributions to the field of aging services.
Noted LANJ Board Chair Bonnie Kelly, "Our winners encompass a broad range of skills, expertise and disciplines. We are honoring a legislator, a regulator, a retiring CEO, a business partner, leaders, innovators, achievers and direct caregivers. They may go by different titles, but they share a passion and a commitment to serving the seniors throughout our state."
The following individuals and organizations were honored:
- Assemblyman Gary Schaer received the LeadingAge NJ Legacy Award
- Deputy Commissioner Lowell Arye of the NJ Department of Human Services received the LeadingAge NJ Public Policy Award
- Charles Berkowitz of The Jewish Family Home received the President's Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Field of Aging
- Johnson Kendall Johnson received the Business Partner of the Year Award
- Kate Shepard, Executive Director of the Reformed Church Home received the Excellence in Leadership Award
- Daughters of Israel received the Amos Willcox Award for Professional Services in the Field of Aging for their Music and Memory Program
- Springpoint Senior Living received the Excellence in Innovation Award for their LivWell Program
- Fabian Morgan, CNA of Preakness Healthcare Center received the Frontline Professional of the Year Award
- India Santos, Housing Administrator and Tamika Jackson-White, Social Services Coordinator of PineRidge of Montclair received the Excellence in Community Service Award for the Senior Space / Montclair Library
