GreenHunter Resources Announces the Appointment of Melissa Pagen to Vice President - Business Development


GRAPEVINE, Texas, April 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GreenHunter Resources, Inc. (NYSE MKT:GRH and GRH.PRC), a diversified water resource, waste management, environmental services, and hydrocarbon marketing company specializing in the unconventional oil and natural gas shale resource plays, announced today that Melissa Pagen has been appointed to Vice President - Business Development at GreenHunter Resources, Inc., effective April 15, 2015.

Melissa Pagen has more than ten years of professional business development experience in both the private and public sectors – five years specifically focused on energy, along with a proven track record of facilitating long term business relationships with both customers and industry professionals. As Vice President - Business Development, Ms. Pagen will be responsible for strengthening existing as well as developing new business opportunities that support the company's core lines of business as it relates to the water disposal and fluids management industry, including our proprietary MAG Tank®, an above-ground, customizable water storage solution.

Prior to joining GreenHunter Resources, Ms. Pagen co-founded Saints Oilfield Services, LLC, (a.k.a. "Dakota Fly Ash") in the Bakken Shale of North Dakota. As general partner and co-founder of Saints Oilfield Services, LLC, Ms. Pagen utilized her industry expertise to advise and provide clients with environmental service materials in the Bakken Oil Shale, while building client relationships that she brings with her to GreenHunter. Ms. Pagen also served as Vice President, Marketing and Sales at publicly-traded Sionix Corporation. At Sionix, Ms. Pagen played a key role in building, designing and developing the company's communications and investor relations platform. Under her term at Sionix, Ms. Pagen helped grow the company's sales distribution channel; increasing visibility of the Sionix self-contained, mobile water treatment system, both domestically and internationally. Ms. Pagen is a member of the Southeastern Ohio Oil and Gas Association (SOOGA), as well as the Independent Oil and Gas Association, West Virginia (IOGAWV). In 2014, Ms. Pagen was honored with a WING Award (Women In Natural Gas), by Shale Media Group. Ms. Pagen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated summa cum laude.
