Photo Release -- Church of Scientology Opens Historic Ybor Square to World Environment Day

TAMPA, Fla. and CLEARWATER, Fla., June 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On World Environment Day, the 5th of June, The Church of Scientology Tampa in coordination with the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, celebrated the Day with an Open House at its historic Ybor Square Church.   In attendance were Kent Bailey, Chairperson of Sierra Club, an environment protection group; Ann Paul, Tampa Bay Coordinator of the Audubon Society; Marcia Biggs from the Environments Protections Commission of Hillsborough County and Sandy Murman, Hillsborough County Commissioner.

Ms. Mimi Kintzel, spokesperson for the Tampa Church said, "We are interested in safeguarding our communities against pollution and degradation."  To underscore her message, the MC for the event, Marlin Anderson of the Way to Happiness Tampa, showed two public service announcements produced by his organization:  SET A GOOD EXAMPLE and SAFEGUARD AND IMPROVE YOUR ENVIRONMENT, which are also precepts taken from the non-religious moral code written by L. Ron Hubbard, The Way to Happiness.

Each environmental speaker briefed on what their association does and what can be done to save our environment.

Mr. & Mrs. Mobley of Eastern Heights Neighborhood Association presented a framed thank you message for The Way to Happiness organization's contribution to the neighborhood.
