The four partners will transition to Cooley their full-spectrum, globally-oriented corporate practices.
"Yvan-Claude, Daniel, William and Garth will bring a wealth of global transactional experience to Cooley," said Joe Conroy, Cooley's chief executive officer. "Yvan-Claude is a proven dealmaker and we feel fortunate that he and his long-time colleagues have chosen to join Cooley's market-leading corporate practice. Together they are a highly talented and seasoned group that will deepen our capability to serve the increasingly complex legal needs of public and private companies alike, both in the US and worldwide."
"Companies around the world are taking note of Cooley's incredible momentum as it continues to deliver record-breaking results in tech, life sciences and all things innovation," Pierre said. "Speaking for myself -- and for Daniel, William and Garth -- we are genuinely excited to begin contributing to the collaborative platform that Cooley's clients clearly find so appealing, and to furthering the global reach, capability and success of this dynamic firm. This is a timely opportunity for our group to help further deepen the firm's leading corporate group in New York and across all markets -- and in particular tech and life sciences, which are so core to Cooley."
