Ecommerce Software CIO Recognized for Innovative Leadership by American City Business Journal

Product Development VP of Ecomdash Honored for Excellence in Application of Technology

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - August 03, 2015) - Award-winning ecommerce software ecomdash has been recognized for its dedication to small business, innovative technology and digital marketing strategies within the past year. Now, the ecommerce startup can say that its leadership is earning top honors, too. Kevin Loomis, co-founder and vice president of product development for ecomdash has been selected as a finalist by the Charlotte Business Journal for CIO of the year.

The Charlotte Business Journal's 3rd Annual CIO of the Year Awards honor IT executives and emerging leaders who demonstrate excellence in a variety of technology initiatives. These initiatives include characteristics such as the ability to use information technology to optimize business processes, enable growth, create competitive advantages, improve customer experience and more. Past winners represent small, large and non-profit/government organizations. Additionally, there is a category reserved for up-and-coming leaders in Charlotte's technology industry. Finalists from the previous year hail from respected establishments such as LPL Financial, ACN North America and Charlotte Mecklenburg schools.

Loomis' ability to perform as an innovative and customer-driven CIO qualified him for the prestigious recognition. At ecomdash, Loomis maintains an agile product development environment to ensure developers can quickly make adjustments based on customer and market needs. Loomis hires both young and seasoned IT talent, training employees to invest fully in the ecomdash mission to provide comprehensive supply chain software for its small to mid-sized multichannel retailers. He assists with fundraising and is wholly responsible for technology deliverables, such as design, coding, testing, implementation, hardware and support. Loomis works tirelessly to establish ecomdash as an innovative solution in the increasingly competitive ecommerce SaaS space.

Loomis and additional co-founder Darrin Kidd built ecomdash from scratch, creating a prototype that they then tested using a beta partner program. "Given that ecomdash was coded for two full years and didn't launch out of beta until early 2014, it's humbling to receive this recognition while our company is so young," said Loomis in a statement. "This honor is a win for our entire team, and further motivates us to continue delivering a mature ecommerce inventory solution to our small business customers."

Earlier this year, ecomdash won two Blue Diamond Technology Awards for Cool Innovation and Small/Medium Business Value. Additionally, Ecomdash is on pace to increase revenue by over 700% in 2015.
