This event marks the 13th meeting of government regulators, petroleum industry experts, and others, and is expected to bring delegates together from over 30 countries to discuss collection and storage of increasing volumes of data associated with oil and gas exploration and production around the world. Governments and industry have long realized that collecting and storing data is not a competitive activity. Collaborating on business processes, data quality and the related standards for data exchange reduces costs for both government and industry and lowers the risks related to resource exploration.
