Save the date and bet on a community with fantastic odds for success.

MIAMI, Sept. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- You only get one chance to make a first impression, and Suited for Success believes that the right preparation and presentation are crucial to securing gainful employment and achieving economic self-sufficiency. A strong workforce yields a strong Miami, which is why Suited for Success is inviting the community to participate in its long-awaited first-ever casino night fundraiser, "All in for the Men," at Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach on Saturday, October 10.

Since 1994, Suited for Success has been committed to serving underemployed and unemployed individuals in Miami-Dade County by providing life skills seminars, job training and professional attire to help them achieve economic self-sufficiency and independence. In 2007, the women's program joined the Dress for Success brand and has achieved local prominence as Dress for Success Miami. Suited for Success has been a vital resource in the community for over 20 years, and is now turning the spotlight to showcase and celebrate how the organization has helped over 25,000 men in South Florida in the past two decades.

This October, Suited for Success will host its first-ever fundraiser benefiting the men's program. Get ready for a memorable evening beginning at 8 p.m. Guests will be welcomed by a red carpet, followed by a cocktail reception, including signature "All in" cocktails provided by Diageo. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on extraordinary items in a silent auction, including "staycations" from Miami's most luxurious hotels; experiences from the best restaurants in South Florida, including a 3-course pasta making class at Bocce Bar; a Rolling Stones autographed guitar; a boxing glove signed by the five "greats" and much more. Guests will enter the ballroom for a fun evening filled with casino play, dancing, drinks and exquisite food stations. The evening also features a VIP Poker Tournament to raise even more funds for the organization.

In support of this effort, Suited for Success is proud to present its recently assembled Men's Advisory Board, comprised of entrepreneurs, philanthropists and local leaders from the community and government, as well as key players from the cultural, business, media and entertainment sectors. The board's mission is to raise awareness about Suited for Success and its legacy of service to Miami-Dade County's underserved populations. The organization's programs have made a lasting impact on individuals and families and can continue to do so with the support of our community.

Suited for Success has partnered with Uber to provide new Uber users a free ride (up to $20) with the code ALLINSFS. For every new user trip taken with the code, Uber will donate $5 to Suited for Success. Visit the event website at http://suitedforsuccess.org/All-In for more details.

About Suited for Success

Founded in 1994, Suited for Success (SFS) was started to help welfare recipients enter the workforce by providing them with appropriate clothing for interviews and jobs. The organization expanded to serve youth (since 1998) and men (since 1999). Experience quickly showed that business clothing is essential, but not sufficient to get and keep a job, so SFS created tailored workshops on job interview readiness, professional image, communication skills, and business etiquette. By enhancing clients' confidence with real-world skills, SFS increases the value of each donated suit more than a hundredfold. SFS works hand in hand with over 125 agencies that refer clients, and serves over 1,300 individuals in Miami-Dade County each year. Since 1999, Suited for Success has served over 25,000 men with job training, clothing, and mentoring to support their job search needs and help them find and secure employment. Each man completes the program ready to meet prospective employers not only looking his best, but radiating the self-confidence needed to get the job. Suited for Success is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors, with a prestigious men's advisory board. To learn more, visit www.suitedforsuccess.org.
