Raymond Lyon Joins Old Line Bank as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending


BOWIE, Md., Oct. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Old Line Bank, Maryland's premier community bank with assets of more than $1.3 billion and 19 branch locations, is pleased to announce that Raymond Lyon has joined the Bank as a Senior Vice President serving the Baltimore Washington corridor market as a senior commercial lender.

Mr. Lyon joins the Bank after its recent announcement to acquire Regal Bank and Trust in Owings Mills, Maryland. He will focus his efforts on business development and customer service, in addition to recognizing growth opportunities for the Bank. Lyon will serve from an office in Owings Mills, as well as maintaining an office in Silver Spring, Maryland, as the regional manager of the Baltimore Washington corridor lending production market.

Lyon has served in various commercial real estate banking lending functions at institutions throughout the region, most recently as a senior relationship officer at United Bank. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years at Sun Trust, where for twelve years, he served as the Baltimore market leader and a senior loan officer responsible for rebuilding and expanding the commercial real estate office, as well as expanding the Bank's market share. He has more than 36 years of diverse experience serving the Baltimore and Washington Metropolitan areas in the financial services industry. His expertise includes the management of complex real estate and commercial loan transactions. Lyon holds a Master of Science in Finance from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from John Carroll University.

Lyon is a native of Maryland and a resident of the Baltimore Metropolitan area. He is active in several community oriented organizations and serves as a director on the Board at My Brother's Keeper, a community outreach organization in Baltimore, Maryland.
